Edd Muir and Victoria Carlin have been working together to provide circus tinged performances for the past two years. Frayed Knot was created following redevelopment of fire duo 'Les Pantaloons Du Flambe' after training at circus school in Bristol, UK.

Whilst in Bristol, they become heavily involved in the running of the school including work in Berlin and Paris with the European Volunteer Service and the Network of International Circus Exchange. Following training, Frayed Knot returned to the North East first faciliating circus activity at The Buddle Arts Centre in Wallsend then branching out into cabaret and theatre Frayed Knot currently perform regulary in national theatre tours, cabaret events, international music festivals and small community events. Often performing as a duo, Victoria also performs cirque burlesque under the name of 'Amelie Soleil'

Frayed Knot are committed to creating a strong circus presence in the North East region and currently run a series of workshops at The Phoenix Martial Arts Academy, Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne.
